I was born in 1975 in Cape Town. I finished school in 1993 in the Magaliesburg Bekker Schools, after which I went to Stellenbosch University to do one year of B.Mus (prep), changing to B.Sc Maths, finishing my honours degree in 1998. I worked as an actuarial assistant for two years, but decided to go into the arts fulltime in 2001.

I enjoy painting images and ideas from my perspective on life. Images that express freedom and playfulness, combined with more serious subject matter. I work mostly in oils, I love working in and with nature, thereby using mixed media, and enjoy experimenting with installation art as well as combining music in my work.

I’d like to invite the viewer into my world by viewing my art.
